If you enjoy our videos, we greatly appreciate it if you buy a watch from Jaztime.com once in a while. Today, we're gonna be doing a review on the Rolex Datejust 41. This is the model number 126300. We'll be going over the dial, bezel, case, crown, bracelet, clasp, and we'll talk about the movement towards the end of the video. So jumping right into the dial, this is a newer style dial. While white in particular is not too special of a dial, as in the beginning of 2019, they released it with the Roman style hour markers instead of just having the index hour marker, so the white has an additional choice of the Roman numerals over the index hour markers. That was released alongside with the blue Roman as well, so you can get this in a white or blue Roman or a blue dial as well. Of course, there still is the standard dial that did come out alongside when the Datejust 41 line was released back in, I believe, 2017 or 2018, where it was the Roman numerals in green with the index 9 instead in this slate colored dial but 2019, it's the white and the blue style dials. And we do have the blue dial as a standalone review as well, if you want to check that out on our YouTube channel. But besides that this is a typical, a typical Datejust structure with the hour marker, the hour markers from the 1 to, the 1 to the 11, date window at the 3 o'clock position, when a cyclops lands on top of that Sapphire crystal for magnification and easier viewing of that date. Rolex's crown logo at the 12 o'clock position with the Rolex crown logo and all the hour markers and the hour, minute and seconds hand of, of the dial being fashioned in 18 carat white gold to prevent any tarnishing. So there's no luminosity on this watch, so you might have a harder time viewing this watch at night as doesn't have that sort of glow, that glow-in-the-dark feature as the index hour markers. Well, besides that, very beautiful, just that polar white dial, the Rolex name, always the perpetual Datejust at the 12 o'clock position, right underneath it. And the Superlative Chronometer Officially Certified at the 6 o'clock position, just right above it. One thing to note is that the Swiss Made at the, Swiss Made at the 6 o'clock position, right underneath that Roman numeral, is, has the "Swiss" with the crown logo and then the "Made" right after that. And that sort of indicates that this watch movement has been updated, as Rolex has been sort of doing with the newer style, more modern Rolexes from, like, 2018 to 2019, I believe. You can see that more recently on the Sea-Dweller 43 that was released that has that sort of, that sort of style of the "Swiss Made" at the 6 o'clock position. But besides that, if you're not interested in the Roman numerals or the white dial in general, you can still get it in the, the standard index hour markers as well. And the colors you can get that in is the black, white, silver and of course blue as I mentioned before. All right, moving on to the bezel now. So the bezel is just a simple, a simple domed bezel made out of 9040 steel, which is Rolex's in-house made steel that has additional corrosion resistance and a nicer shine to it. But this, this whole bezel is nicely high polished with the lugs as well matching. You can see the top lugs and the bottom mugs matching alongside with the high polish on that, on that bezel to sort of bring more shine out of the face of the watch, sort of encompassing it with a, a nicer shine to it as the Datejust, the white dial in general, doesn't have that sort of sunburst feature that you see on the other colors. It's just a nice flat polar white and that little shine really brings a pop to the face of the watch. Moving on to the, moving on to the case size, as I mentioned is a Datejust 41, as the name states. So it's a 41, 41 millimeter diameter watch. So from my index finger to my thumb here, that's 41 millimeters in diameter. From the side profile you can see, nice thin profile, with a nice high polish on the sides of the case. From this left side here, with the high polish on the bracelet as well. One thing to note here, you can see, as I mentioned it is nicely slimmed down for the case and even the bezel as well is nice, nice and slim, so it will fit under suit cuffs, dress cuffs very nicely. On our, on one of our previous, previous comparison videos, we do compare this to the previous predecessor of this, of this model, which was the Datejust 2, the 116300. You can check out the comparison video on a YouTube channel as well if you want to know the exact differences between the two. But just in general it's just the, they slimmed down the case. They slimmed down the case and they slimmed down the bezel as well. So you'll have a nice, more proportional view in conjunction with the Jubilee or Oyster style bracelet. So this is the right side, the right side of the case. You can see the Rolex crown, with the crown logo on the crown itself there, nicely underscored by a little indentation there. And what that means is that this is a twin lock double waterproofness system in regards to the crown, the crown functions and the water resistance. The, has a nice high polish continuation on the right, on this right side, along with the bracelet once more a nicer shine on the sides of the watch. So as we move on to the crown functions, I mentioned this is a twin lock double waterproofness system. So this does have a water- this watch has a water resistance of 100 meters or 330 feet. And that's when the crown is nice and tight in against the case, not sticking out as I have it so, as I've unscrewed the crown out to the standard position to allow you to wind the watch this is the standard position for winding the watch. All you need to wind is 15 to 20 clockwise turns to get the watch started once more. I'm just going to move this minute hand out of the way here, really quickly. So back to the standard position, one simple tug, and you'll be able to adjust the date instantaneously as shown. You can see how quick and easy it is to adjust that date. Pulling the crown out to the final position, you can keep your eye on the seconds hand here as I'll stop it in place and it allows for precise time-setting, such as to an atomic clock online. You can set it down to the exact seconds for precise time setting and you'll be able to adjust the hands bi-directionally as you'd like. Pressing the crown back in, we'll start that seconds hand once more and always make sure to screw your crown nice and tight in against the case. As I mentioned, you want to keep the watch nice and protected. You want that crown not to be sticking out, nice and tight against the case. And of course, keeping its water resistance, as I mentioned, the 100 meters or 330 feet. Moving on to the bracelet, we have an Oyster style bracelet which is a three-piece link style bracelet, a more sportier style than the dressier style, Jubilee style bracelet. So this Oyster, Oyster bracelet is a three piece linked bracelet and nicely high polish down the center of the three piece links with a nice sand finish contrasting the high polish with a brushed steel on the outer of the three-piece links that matches up with the clasp itself. You can see the clasp is a nice Oyster, Oyster style clasp. And then moving back on to that same style Oyster the Oyster links, and you can see the nice tapering towards the first link, towards the case. The clasp itself is just a simple folding oyster clasp. You open it up as so. And you'll reveal these nicely high-polished clasp blades with the Rolex name embossed on there. So once again, I'll show you that closed up. And then once more opened. All right. And of course, and of course if you don't like the Oyster style bracelet, this Datejust 41, it does come on a Jubilee style bracelet as well. The previous model, the previous model of the Datejust, the Datejust 2, which is the predecessor did not come on a Jubilee style bracelet. So now the Jubilee style bracelet is offered for this model of watch. We're going to go ahead and move on to the movement now. So the movement is housed in a simple oyster case backing. You can see the nice high polish sort of bordering around the part that sits on your wrist which is nicely brushed steel there. The movement itself has been updated as I mentioned, with the Swiss Made, the Swiss crown Made at the 6 o'clock position. The movement is now a 32 35 movement which it used to be a 31 35 movement, which was a tried and tested movement for over 20+ years. But now they've moved on to a 32-35 movement as they want to use more, so Rolex has wanted to sort of move onto more in-house-made parts. So it is a perpetual mechanical self-winding movement in-house made by Rolex with a precision of -2, +2 seconds a day, as mentioned with the sort of boasting text at the 6 o'clock position, right there, with the Superlative Chronometer Officially Certified. Has the functions of the hour, minute, and seconds hand, instantaneous changing of the date, with rapid setting and also stopping of the seconds hand for precise time settings such as through an atomic clock as I've shown you with the crown functions. But now we have the oscillator, the oscillator, actually the paramagnetic blue Parachrom hairspring was on the previous model as well, which allows, which gives a watch additional resistance against magnetism. But now it's paired very nicely with the Chronergy escapement, which is a in-house made escapement wheel that is skeletonized and made with a nickel-phosphorous. The skeletonization helps with the reduction of inertia while also the nickel-phosphorous helps with the Parachrom hairspring in terms of reducing or in terms of aiding in resistance against magnetism, as magnetizing a watch could cause it to run erratically. The shock absorbers have also been replaced by in-house made shock absorbers called the Paraflex shock absorbers. The industry standard was the KIF that Rolex has moved away from and Rolex claims that their Paraflux shock absorbers absorb 50% more shocks than that KIF shock absorbers. The power reserve of this watch has been updated as well because of the small sort of fine tune adjustments. We have a power reserve of 70 hours as opposed to the 48 hours previously. So you can put this watch down on your Friday evening, pick it back up on a Sunday or a Monday afternoon, it'll be keeping time just fine. Now I'm gonna actually go ahead and show you this watch on my wrist. So we're going to locate that folding oyster, open that up slap that right on. Very nice and very easy, very nice and very easy. You can see, very beautiful, white dial. I do have average man-sized wrists, which is a 7-inch wrist, you can see, still a little bit of wiggle room there for me there. You can see that polar white dial just looks absolutely gorgeous. Nice, simple, nice, simple colors that nice high polish just popping from just the bezel, the lugs, a little bit from the hands of the watch, you can see that sort of dual-polish there. Looks absolutely gorgeous in contrast with each other. So if you're interested in this watch or any other watch for the lowest possible price. Check out our website, Jaztime.com.
